Kimberly Knape

Kimberly Knape, MS, CCC-SLP

Kim received her bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology and audiology in 2001 and her master's degree in communication disorders in 2003, both from the University of Texas at Dallas- Callier Center. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Kim has worked in Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) as well as outpatient pediatric rehabilitation. She has experience treating children with language and articulation disorders, autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairment, various syndromes, apraxia of speech, feeding and fluency disorders. Kim has a special interest in working with the hearing impaired population and using American Sign Language as part of treatment. She recently received intensive training in the Signed Exact English (SEE) method.


Farah Moore

Farah Moore, MA, OTR

Farah earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California in 2001, and received her master's degree in occupational therapy from USC in 2003. She has worked in a pediatric setting for seven years, and has experience in both medical and educationally-based service models. She has enjoyed working with children aged two to 17 years, who have a variety of diagnoses including autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder and learning disablities. She is an Interactive Metronome Certified Provider (IMC), and has experience using sensory integrative techniques and various handwriting programs.


Elizabeth Sander

Elizabeth Sander, MA, CCC-SLP

Elizabeth received her bachelor's and master's degree in speech-language pathology from Louisiana State University in 1992 and 1997, respectively. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and has more than 12 years of experience working as a pediatric speech-language pathologist in an outpatient setting. Elizabeth has experience treating children with mutiple diagnoses. She has received continuing education in oromotor therapy, autism spectrum disorders, feeding therapy, augmentative communication, stuttering and interactive metronome. Elizabeth is a certified Interactive Metronome (IM) provider. Her area of expertise/ treatment include: articulation, phonologic processes, apraxia, frontal and lateral lisp, receptive/expressive language delays, phonological awareness and reading, auditory processing, feeding/swallowing, voice, fluency, and augmentative communication.


Jennifer Coyle

Jennifer Coyle, MSPT

Jennifer received her bachelor's degree from Simmons College in Boston in 1999 and her master's degree in physical therapy from Simmons College in 2001. She has worked with the pediatric population for 10 years in private outpatient clinics in both Massachusetts and Texas. Jennifer has worked with children of all ages, ranging from infancy through high school and has clinical expertise working with children of varied diagnoses. She is a certified Interactive Metronome (IM) provider. Jennifer’s special interest area is children with neurological impairments and children with complex medical diagnoses.


Carly Paben

Carly Paben, PTA

Carly received her bachelor's degree from Concordia University in 2005 and received an associate's degree as a physical therapist assistant from Austin Community College in 2009. Her last clinical affiliation from school was with HealthSouth Starbright Pediatric Clinic where she fell in love working with the kids. That subsequently led to her accepting a position following graduation to continue with the pediatric population. She is a certified Interactive Metronome (IM) provider and has taken interest in expanding her knowledge with pediatric aquatics.


Carolyn Roelse

Carolyn Roelse, OTR

Carolyn received her master's degree in occupational therapy (OT) at Washington University of St. Louis. Her career started in a rehabilitation center at St. Davids’ Hospital in Austin, TX. She worked mainly with the older adult to geriatric population with various neurological and orthopedic conditions. After five years at St. David her OT career led her into the pediatric population. She transitioned into working with children at an outpatient clinic at Easter Seals in Austin, TX. During this period she learned the basis of treating and evaluating children of all ages and disabilities. She also had the opportunity to work part-time in Early Childhood Intervention. Carolyn was at Easter Seals for almost two years then before joining HealthSouth Starbright Rehabilitation Clinic. She came to Starbright to expand her knowledge and experience in pediatrics. Carolyn started at Starbright in August of 2009. Since being here at Starbright she is now IM certified and received training in the Handwriting Without Tears program. She has received continuing education in sensory processing, behavior management, developmental disabilities, social skills, handwriting and observation skills in a school/outpatient setting.
